About Course
This comprehensive program is designed to equip students with essential knowledge and practical skills in computing, networking, software development, and emerging IT technologies. This course prepares students for careers in IT-related fields and provides a pathway for further studies in ICT and related disciplines.
The program covers key areas such as programming, database management, artificial intelligence (AI), geographic information systems (GIS), cybersecurity, cloud computing, and ICT project management.
Course Objectives:
- To provide students with a solid foundation in computer hardware, software, and networking.
- To equip learners with programming, software development, and application design skills.
- To develop students' abilities in database management and system administration.
- To introduce learners to cybersecurity, ethical hacking, and IT security practices.
- To train students in ICT project management, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Entry Requirements
To qualify for admission into the Diploma in ICT program, a candidate must meet any of the following minimum entry requirements:
- KCSE mean grade of C- (Minus) or equivalent.
- Holders of a Certificate in ICT may be eligible for direct entry into the second year of the diploma program.
- Equivalent qualifications as recognized by the relevant education authorities.
Course Duration
The Diploma in ICT program is structured to run for 2½ years, divided into:
- 8 terms of coursework and Internal attachment for practical training.
- External Industrial attachment in the final semester to provide hands-on experience in a real-world IT environment.
Mode of Study
Students can choose from the following study modes based on their preference: Full-time (Day classes), Part-time (Evening & weekend classes), Online/Blended learning
